Kathmandu. An agreement has been signed between internet service provider Sajilo Net and Everest Engineering College for collaboration. The memorandum of understanding was signed between the two parties during a ceremony on Thursday.
The MoU, which was signed with the aim of connecting education with technology, was signed by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Satish Karki on behalf of Sajilo Net and Campus Principal Prof. Dr. Harikrishna Shrestha on behalf of the campus.
Speaking at the MoU ceremony, CEO Karki, on behalf of Sajilo Net, said that he was happy to collaborate with Safal Everest College in the field of engineering.
CEO Karki said that the collaboration is not just for paper but will be based on a shared vision and commitment. ‘This collaboration is not just for paper, it has our shared vision and commitment. It is an effort to connect the academic world with practicality,’ he said, ‘After studying, friends come for jobs, but they have knowledge but no skills, this is our effort to fulfill that, we are confident that we will succeed in that.’
Similarly, Campus Chief Prof. Dr. Harikrishna Shrestha expressed his belief that even after passing out from college, students often complain about the lack of practical knowledge in the market, but that the current collaboration will address that complaint to some extent.
"The complaint we are receiving now is that students lack practical knowledge. We believe that by collaborating with Sajilo Net, we will be able to provide not only knowledge but also practical knowledge to our students in the coming days," he said.
He also expressed confidence that the collaboration with Sajilo Net would not only help the company but also produce skilled manpower in the country.
"Collaboration with Sajilo Net will not only produce manpower for Sajilo Net, but will also produce manpower that will connect the country with technology," he said.
Similarly, the campus's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Arun Kumar Bhandari emphasized that every sector should now move forward through collaboration rather than criticizing each other.
